Is Parking and Transportation Services giving more parking tickets?

In looking into your question, Parking Lot 3 is designated as an employee lot, which means students can park there after 6 on the weekdays if they have a permit, and the weekends without one.

Why you or other students hadn't received parking tickets before, may have just been luck.

The Parking and Transportation Services uses parking ticket fees to pay for other services at CSULB, such as the U-PASS program. It has been suggested that PTS is better at giving tickets to people who are parked in the wrong lots as of late because the fines are going toward more services than in the past. However, in an article the Daily 49er wrote last school year, the university maintains that this is not the case.
