The Long Beach State men's golf team finished the first day at the Gifford Collegiate Championship in ninth place. The 49ers' trip to Dallas was cut short by heavy rain and lightning, which cancelled the final round of the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate on Tuesday. The Long Beach State women's golf team wrapped up the Lamkin Grip Invitational by improving its score by 13 strokes to finish in third place on Tuesday. The Long Beach State men's golf team finished last Monday through the first two rounds of the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate tournament in Dallas, Texas.
