The Clothesline Project featured t-shirts with messages written by survivors of sexual assualt, along with encouraging words for those who are still struggling with domestic abuse.

Organizers say the goal was to mark Sexual Assualt Awareness Month by creating a colorful, eye-catching display that airs out often unspoken stories of abuse.

The shirts and their messages have been collected from past events from students and local residents.  A table full of craft supplies and unused shirts was set up for those who felt inspired to share their own stories.

The project ran on April 22-23 by the bookstore and was sponsored by CSULB’s Women’s Resource center, along with the Interval House and the Young Women’s Christian Organization.
