After dropping the students off, the Long Beach Yellow Cab driver asked the victim to return to the vehicle to finish paying the tab, Goodwin said. The driver then allegedly “tried to grab the girl’s face and tried to kiss her and was very forceful,” Goodwin said.

A Long Beach Yellow Cab supervisor and investigator came out to the scene, Goodwin said. There were no reported injuries and the investigation is still ongoing, he said.

The fight ended when University Police arrived. Neither of the students needed medical attention, Goodwin said.

Both of the students will be referred to CSULB Judicial Affairs with no criminal charges, he said.

There appeared to be no serious injuries, he said.

A black backpack containing a laptop and an iPad was stolen from the Parkside Dining Hall on Friday at 2:12 p.m., Goodwin said.

University Police tried using a GPS tool to track down the stolen items, but there are no leads or suspects, he said.
