49er Shops Grad Fair seeks to help students graduate next week

With graduation fast approaching, seniors may find themselves uncertain about the particulars concerning graduation.

The 49er Shops is inviting all graduating seniors to the 2016 Grad Fair at the University Bookstore March 8 -10 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

“Students can learn about their individual commencement ceremonies, the graduation registration process, and post-grad educational and job opportunities,” 49er Shops said in a statement.

Graduates will also have the opportunity to have their senior portraits taken, rent their cap and gown for later pick up and purchase items. Class rings, diploma frames, discounted computer hardware and software and resume services will be available.

Raffle winners will also have the chance to win a free class ring, cap and gown rental and diploma frame, among other prizes.

A number of other campus organizations will be at the bookstore to assist students with questions and concerns, according to 49er Shops.

Participation is optional, and graduating seniors will be able to sign up for the ceremonies or rent their caps and gowns at other times during the spring semester.

Commencement services will be available throughout the spring semester beginning March 8.
