You can still TAP that

Starting today, students who will not be attending the summer semester can go to the cashier’s office located at Brotman Hall and receive a TAP card extension without applying for the reduced Long Beach Transit student rate.

The TAP card extension costs $100 and is also eligible for campus employees. People who get the extension will receive unlimited rides for an estimated three months with no application required.

Students and employees will be saving $20 from the reduced student fare price, which is $120 and requires a 6-8–week application review process. They will also be saving $95 from the regular full priced bus pass.

The Spring TAP card will be valid until May 22 and the fall TAP will begin on Aug. 13.

This story was updated to clarify that students and employees will save $20 from the reduced student fare price, and that they will save $95 from the regular full priced bus pass.
