Letter to the Editor: A message from Agatha Gucyski

A message from Agatha Gucyski

I cannot express enough how eager I am to begin my term as the Associated Students Inc. treasurer for 2013-14. I am so happy that the students and Daily 49er have conveyed their support and faith in me.

However, not only am I excited to be the next treasurer, but also I am excited to work alongside with ASI President John Haberstroh and Vice President Jonathon Bolin. Though we did not run together on the same ticket and our ideas may have clashed during the campaign, I don’t have fears about the way our term will turn out. I have worked a lot with Haberstroh and Bolin already this year as a senator, and I know that they have open minds and are excited to work with me as well. We have worked successfully on many projects in the past, so next year won’t be any different.

I will express my concerns about their term so that they can do a better job next year, and I am confident that they will make such improvements. Honestly, I think that both have really good ideas; it’s a matter of executing them well. What I’m trying to say is that the students elected us because they trust our ability to work together as mature student leaders while representing them. We will work together as a team to perfect all of their ideas that are carrying over from last year while incorporating mine and figure out what other things we can bring to the term to make next year even better. I am confident in our abilities to work together as a team so that ASI will bring a great year to Cal State Long Beach. Go Beach!

Agatha Gucyski is a junior finance and human resource management major.
