The Long Beach State men’s basketball team committed a season-high 23 turnovers in its biggest challenge of the 2009-10 season.

The Longhorns (7-0) continued to pour it on in the second half as they put 55 points on the scoreboard in the last 20 minutes of action.

Stephan Gilling was one of the only bright spots for the 49ers as the senior converted on 6-of-12 3-point attempts for a game-high 18 points. Three other ‘Niners scored in double figures.

T.J. Robinson picked up his fifth double-double of the season by scoring 12 points and collecting 12 rebounds on the evening. Casper Ware pitched in with 16 points, and scored in double figures for the third straight game.

Sophomore Larry Anderson once again was contained by an opposing defense, but he was able to contribute 11 points against the Big 12 Conference opponent.

Texas finished the game with six players scoring in double figures, including freshman Avery Bradley’s career-high 17 points.
