On Tuesday, the Long Beach State beach volleyball team swept Concordia and Colorado Mesa to push its win streak to three games.
With the win, No.6 LBSU (11-2) has now won eight of 10 early in the season.
In its first match, the Beach’s No. 2 team of Sasha Karelov and Kobi Pekich began the match with a 21-11, 21-11 win against their Concordia (8-2) opponent.
The rest of the matched followed with Jenelle Hudson and Megan Kruidhof completed the sweep with a 21-9, 21-10 win against Concordia’s No. 5 team.
The Beach continued to dominate in its second match against Colorado Mesa (2-5) as No.1 team of Nele Barber and Rachel Nieto moved to 13-0 on the season.
LBSU will be back in action March 27 when the team hosts the Long Beach Mizuno Invitational.
