Long Beach State Dirtbags sees win streak end in error-filled night

After going on a four-game win streak, the Long Beach State baseball hit a speed bump during a 12-5 loss to San Diego State Tuesday night.

While four players had multiple hits, the Dirtbags (10-9) were plagued by five errors.

Junior third baseman Ramsey Romano went 2-for-4 extending his hitting streak to 14 games.

LBSU took an early 1-0 lead in the second inning, but the Aztecs (13-7) responded with three runs at the bottom of the third to take a 3-1 lead.

The Dirtbags responded in the fourth inning to tie the game at three, but SDSU blew the game open with six runs in the bottom of the inning to take a 9-3 lead and never looked back.

LBSU will look get its defense back in order when it hosts its nonconference series against Cal State Fullerton this weekend.
