Long Beach State water polo head Coach Gavin Arroyo will join the United States men's national team as an assistant coach for the World University Games, running from June 30 through July 12.
The Games will take place in Belgrade, Serbia, with the medal rounds and medal ceremony scheduled for July 12.
Arroyo joins long-time California Golden Bears head coach Kirk Everist on the coaching staff. The team of 13 players is made up of 11 playing in the field and two goalies.
The U.S. starts out of Group D in pool play, along with Hungary, Japan and Poland.
