Long Beach State freshman Anais Dallara was named the Big West Conference Player of the Week for women's tennis Wednesday.

Dallara went 4-0 the past week as LBSU notched wins over then-No. 27 UC Irvine and No. 75 Cal Poly to remain undefeated in conference play at 5-0.

The French-native defeated UCI's Clare Fermin in singles play, and also teamed with fellow freshman Rachel Manasse to topple the Anteater duo of Courtney Byron and Miranda Young. On Saturday against Cal Poly, she downed Maria Malec in singles action, and teamed with Manasse to defeat the combo of Malec and Shannon Brady.

The 5-foot-3 Dallara joins LBSU senior Hannah Grady as the second 49er athlete to earn the weekly honor this season.

The No. 25 49ers are scheduled to host matches at the Rhodes Tennis Center today against UC Santa Barbara and tomorrow against Nevada. Both matches are slated for 2 p.m.
