LaTorya Barbee has made a quick recovery after undergoing surgery in December and may be available to play tonight against host Cal State Fullerton.
Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Titan Gym.
Long Beach State (3-15) is currently in last place with an 0-6 record in the Big West Conference and injuries have been a great factor during the season.
Barbee had been sidelined for the season due to a foot fracture since Nov. 16. But the sophomore guard might be available for head coach Mary Hegarty, who is enthusiastic about her return.
"We are finally given a break on the injuries," Hegarty said after Tuesday's practice.
"[Barbee] gives us quick athleticism on the guard position."
However, Adelle Walton may not be a possibility for Thursday's game — the freshman guard is sidelined indefinitely with a nose-related injury. LBSU is expected to have 12 players suited for the game.
CSUF (6-11, 3-3 Big West) is on a three-game losing streak while the 49ers are trying to win their first conference game of the season.
"We must have zone defense," Hegarty said about the preparation. "We must have full-court pressure, a good offense and push-attack them."
LBSU is currently on an eight-game losing streak but Hegarty is aspiring for the team's first Big West victory.
"Got to get that W," she said.
