Senior guard Donovan Morris has given fans plenty to clap about at the Walter Pyramid.

Senior Donovan Morris was named the Big West Conference Player of the Week on Monday.


The senior averaged 20.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game in the 49ers' 80-61 home win over Pepperdine and 78-74 double-overtime loss at San Francisco. Morris shot 56 percent from the field, including 5-of-9 shooting from beyond the arc.


Morris lit up the Waves for 20 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the field and 4-of-6 from 3-point range in LBSU's victory. He grabbed a season-high eight rebounds in the loss against the Dons. He now has five consecutive games of scoring more than 20 points.

The senior leads the 49ers in scoring on the season with 20 points per game and is second in assists at 3.1 per game.

The 49ers play on the road in a rematch against Weber State on Thursday at 5 p.m. They will then travel to face No. 13 Syracuse on Saturday, with tip-off scheduled for 9:05 a.m.
