Micayla Vermeeren is the Editor in Chief of the Daily 49er.  A recipient of various awards throughout her college years, she is most proud of the opinions editorial, “S-L-U-T: just a word”, which was recognized by the California College Media Association in 2015.  A graduate of Huntington Beach High School, Vermeeren will be graduating in 2017 with a degree in journalism and a minor in anthropology.  Growing up Vermeeren studied Shakespeare and can recite his work on command.   E-mail: [email protected]
