Blotter: Costumed group turns out to be Alpha Phi Omega

A Community Service Officer (CSO) contacted University Police on Tuesday night after spotting a large group of people wearing costumes wandering around campus with lightsabers at the West turnaround, according to Schivley. The large costumed group turned out to be Alpha Phi Omega fraternity, which was hosting a campus-wide scavenger hunt, Schivley said. Alpha Phi Omega was able to continue on with the scavenger hunt after officers determined that no one was in danger, Schivley said.

Greek Week performers disturb resident

A resident contacted University Police at 9:30 p.m. on Sunday and complained about a large group of people who were making too much noise in Parking Lot 1, Schivley said. The large group was made up of 20 students rehearsing for a Greek Week performance and stopped rehearsing when officers arrived, Schivley said.

Two Apple Mac towers stolen from Fine Arts building 4

A staff member contacted University Police after noticing that two Apple Mac towers had been stolen from the Fine Arts building 4 on Tuesday, according to University Police Lt. Christopher Schivley. There is no suspect at this time, Schivley said.

Worker’s car keyed

A facilities management worker’s 1999 Plymouth was keyed sometime during her shift from Wednesday night to Thursday morning, according to Schivley. The employee noticed at 4 a.m. when her shift was over, Schivley said.
